Olav Junttila, Partner

Olav Junttila has broad experience within both the renewable and traditional power generation industries having worked as an M&A advisor and as a private equity investor focused on these sectors for over a decade. He is based in Zürich and works with companies and investors throughout Europe, particularly within solar, wind, and other renewable energies, as well as the waste and water management sectors. He has significant experience structuring and executing acquisitions and divestitures, as well as minority investments and partnerships.

Olav joined Greentech Capital Advisors from Citi Alternative Investments in New York, where he was an Investment Principal with Sustainable Development Investments (SDI), a private equity group that invested in growth companies in the renewable and alternative energy, waste and water management, carbon and sustainable products and materials sectors.

Prior to SDI, he worked at Citi’s investment banking division within the Global Power Group and the Global M&A Group. He focused primarily on power generation and electric utilities but also worked with chemical and industrial companies.

Olav holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor’s equivalent degree from the University of Tromsø, in Tromsø, Norway. Prior to obtaining his MBA, he co-founded and led a non-profit student organization and managed a multimedia communications startup.
