Michael Naylor, Advisory Council Member
Michael Naylor has been a board member, advisor and early stage investor in a number of successful European and US based cleantech and renewable energy businesses, including Edinburgh based Aquamarine Energy Ltd, London based Bloomberg New Energy Finance, and New York based K Road Solar LLC.
Michael currently holds board appointments at the London FTSE-listed Jupiter Green Investment Trust plc, where he is Chairman of the Audit Committee; the Toronto based water technology private equity fund XPV Capital LLP; and the forest eco-systems investment company Canopy Capital Limited.
Michael’s interests in the not-for-profit sector include advisory board appointments at the American Council On Renewable Energy
(501.3c) where he is a founding Co-Chair of the Leadership Council.
In 2008 Michael was appointed Chairman of the Advisory Council of HRH Prince of Wales Rainforest Project based at Clarence House, London.
In 2010 Michael was appointed a founding member to the Advisory Board of the NTR Foundation, an independent grant awarding foundation created by Dublin based NTR plc, to address the challenges posed by the issues of climate change, resource sustainability and security of energy supply.
Michael is an advisor to some of the world’s most recognized energy leadership teams, specifically in the renewables and sustainability sectors, and consults widely in Europe, Asia, and Sub Saharan Africa.
Michael is authorised by the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA) awarded CF2 status relating to his regulated board appointments, and elected International Advisory Board member of SOAS at the University of London.
